Bank Account Automation - MT940
To setup bank account reporting automation through the SWIFT network, customers must request through their bank the service to be enabled. This template can be used to request the service be enabled with your bank. Some banks may have additional requirements to turn the service on.
Most business bankers may not be familiar with the MT940 request form and needs to discuss with others. If the business banker is unfamiliar, encourage them to escalate the request and follow up with the bank to ensure the request is not lost.
When the bank confirms the service is enabled please inform your Cascade account manager so that Cascade can begin importing the statements.
Note some banks can charge an additional fee for enabling the service. In most cases, this can be negotiated or waived by the bank.
Fee for integration: there is a fee for the integration which is based on a per bank (SWIFT Code) per entity charge. Meaning if one entity has multiple accounts at one bank, it’s a flat fee. Whereas one entity that banks at multiple banks will be charged an additional fee for each bank.
