Data Validation

Get insight on the quality of your data and investigate potential data issues within your systems more efficiently.

Data validation is a unique feature which allows users to get feedback on the quality of their data. By categorizing users' raw data to a suite of validation tests, the Cascade Debt platform will generate reports to check for missing data, formatting issues, and logic tests. Users would potentially be able to correct any data problems within their own systems.

Click on the Data Validation icon on the left-hand bar in the Cascade Platform. This will direct users to a page showing a series of validation tests.

Click on the Results button to drill down on the data type, such as receivables, customers, and transactions, as well as a description of the problem and the level of severity.

INFO refers to issues where there should be data but data processing can still continue.

WARNING refers to data which could be left as is. It does not cause data processing to fail, but such errors are still considered high risk and there should be sufficient effort to ensure that the data is complete and accurate.

EXCLUSION refers to issues which would cause data processing to fail and impact key fields. Such loans should be quarantined.

Enrolling data into Cascade Debt's Data Validation functionality means that users will receive a 'health-check' snapshot that is stored in the system every time that the pipeline runs. In the near future, users will be able to download these reports by date or export an aggregate copy for in-house  engineers to view in XLSX format.
